Public Awareness
Most of our public awareness activities are carried out by a small group of volunteers known as the Association for Macular Diseases, Inc. The majority of the volunteers for the Association are themselves afflicted with age-related macular degeneration. Their activities include:
• maintenance of a hotline
• distribution of a quarterly newsletter
• national and international seminars
• information and referral services
